Welcome back my loves 💕
Hope this blog post finds you well! This time is a different blog post. Do you know Abigail Cauchi from Zeza's Things? Keep reading because she does not only look beautiful on the outside, she is also a treasure on the inside! I'm telling you she is a TRUE star 🌟
Let's start to get to know this stunning blogger... Here it goes...

1) Can you tell our readers some things about yourself and your blog?
I’m an IT professional by day, a fashion/beauty blogger most evenings and weekends, and a daughter, sister, girlfriend, islander, traveller for the rest of the time 😀
My blog is about all the things I love outside of my day job: Beauty, fashion, travel, and anything else that happens to pop to mind. At work I feel like I have to be very professional. However, on my blog I feel like I can let out my alter ego, Zeza.

2) What inspired you to become a blogger?
A few years ago, I got addicted to beauty videos on youtube. I watched some famous foreign beauty bloggers and I was also hooked on some Maltese bloggers who I knew about that time (Dyna, Maya, Davina). I started following makeup tutorials, then I started sharing my photos on Reddit and the girls on the MakeupAddiction subreddit really helped me improve my makeup game. Eventually, I was posting makeup photos that were liked a lot and sometimes girls would ask me how I did it. My boyfriend knew how much I was hooked on watching youtube and he thought I was quite good at makeup, so he strongly encouraged me to start a youtube channel. After youtube came the blog itself, instagram, facebook, snapchat… and here I am!

3) How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?
Haha… I wouldn’t say that I run my blog efficiently. A successful blog is a full time job in itself. Since I don’t have all that time, I experiment with what’s worth investing my time in doing.
4) What was your greatest failure and what did you learn from that?
While I’m thinking back on times when I felt like I massively failed, I’m realising that my recoveries have been some of my big successes. The first time (and probably only time) I remember crying over a failure was when I got my A Level results back and failed A Level Maths, and Intermediate Religion and Systems of Knowledge. I was upset because I doubted whether I could get into University since I had to re-sit 3 exams at the end of the Summer. I realised that it was something that I really wanted to do, so I worked my butt off and I got my first degree, then got a Master’s degree, and because I’m really extra, I finished my Doctorate degree as well. I learnt that what I failed at was very important to me, and to work harder.

5) Tell me about your proudest achievement?
Hmm… I have some academic/professional achievements I’m proud of but let’s talk about my blog related ones 😉 I’m a plus size fashion blogger and last year during Malta Fashion Week I worked with Lilly Mae Boutique to bring daily outfit posts during MFW. To my surprise, the owner and director of Lilly Mae asked me to walk the runway for their show! I was hesitant at first, but then agreed. You can read about my fears, thoughts and experience about all of this in this blog post http://bit.ly/2qHjoH4. This was hugely successful because I knew that some people from the fashion industry were a little bit hesitant about this… Was Malta ready for a plus size model to walk down the runway? But it was fine! The blog post got over 4000 likes on Facebook alone, it was shared internationally and yes, it was a huge success! This year, I am a lot more busy during Malta Fashion Week so I haven’t committed myself to working with anyone for the whole week. But, I do get to work with one of my absolute favourite Maltese fashion designers, Gaetano. I was squealing with joy when he agreed to make a dress especially for me. It’s a big honour! Follow my blog to watch and read about this amazing experience!

6) What do you do in your spare time?
I spend most of my spare time on social media! Consuming and creating content… Youtube & Facebook are my favourite platforms. I also love watching some TV Series (Big Grey’s Anatomy fan), hanging out with friends & family, shopping, travelling… and of course I do necessary things like cook and clean (sometimes).
7) Where would you like to be in blogging five years from now?
Where? All over the world if possible 😂
8) What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
People discussing me and making speculations about me behind my back was certainly something to get used to and learn to not care about. But I can’t say that that was a major challenge for me. Luckily I can’t say that I’ve been through some big hurdles yet.

9) Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey?
Oh yes! I met ALLLLL the Maltese bloggers that I used to watch before I ever thought of before I started my blog. Honestly, I was start struck by all of them and I’m sure all of them thought I was some idiot when I met them. I’ve also met some local personalities at events but I was somehow more star struck by meeting the bloggers hahahaha
10) Did you have any professional help or did you created the blog yourself?
It was me, with advice/encouragement from my boyfriend (who knows a thing or two about social media)
11) How much time do you spend blogging?
This is something that’s variable and I also don’t really keep track of it. Does watching/reading other blogs count as research? In that case I spend almost ALL my free time on it 😆
12) Would you encourage other people to make their blog?
Definitely. If they’re willing to deal with people talking about them, of course!
13) What would you say that is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashion blogger?
I get my greatest satisfaction when I get to work with people and brands that I love and when I realize how many friends I have made through blogging and the beauty/fashion community in Malta. I love getting invited to the events, hearing the latest news in fashion and beauty, and of course, the goodies are certainly nice!
14) Any other comments to the readers out there?
Always have fun and be yourself with beauty and fashion without the fear of what other people will think. Makeup washes off, and yes, you can change outfits as well!
For aspiring bloggers… Be yourself and have fun with your blog!
That is all for today... Hope you enjoyed getting to know Zeza as much as I did! You can now truly agree with me that Abigail is an amazing person! If you like to know more about her I also encourage you to follow her on the Social Media listed Below:
Until the next, Clara-x
